Zerrick Bynum is the founding principal of Charlotte Franchise Partners. Mr. Bynum is responsible for leading the franchise assessment and acquisition effort. He works closely with franchise owners, franchise management and the CFP team to accomplish this.

Mr. Bynum possesses an extensive finance and entrepreneurial management background. Prior to CFP, Mr. Bynum worked at the investment banking firms of Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette and Charlotte-based Bowles Hollowell Conner & Company (now part of Wachovia Securities), where he conducted due diligence and valuation analyses on numerous M&A transactions, debt financings, equity offerings and restructurings. His multi-unit finance experience includes closing a multi-million dollar debt private placement for a national specialty retailer and a high-yield debt offering for an auto muffler chain.

More recently, Mr. Bynum supervised finance, legal and business development functions at JemmaSys LLC, a small, multi-media technology company. His responsibilities included recruiting and managing a geographically dispersed 5-person management team. JemmaSys developed and marketed products to the people-intensive real estate brokerage industry.

An active member of the local community, Mr. Bynum has received numerous awards for his civic service. For the past six years, his primary civic commitment has been mentoring and tutoring math to secondary school students, including twice creating new mentoring/tutoring programs.

A Charlotte native, Mr. Bynum is married and speaks conversational Spanish. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
